McCoy Creek is a small stream, also called a tributary, that flows into the St. Joseph River. It is located in the southeastern part of Berrien County, Michigan.

McCoy Creek starts in the southwestern part of Bertrand Township in Michigan. Its beginnings are also near the border with St. Joseph County, Indiana. The creek flows mainly north and then northeast. It travels about 6 to 7 miles (10–11 kilometers) before it meets the St. Joseph River. This meeting point is in the city of Buchanan.
How Did It Get Its Name?
McCoy Creek is named after a person! It got its name from Reverend Isaac McCoy. He was a local minister who lived in the area a long time ago.
