The McKesson Plaza is a tall office building in San Francisco, California. It has 38 floors and stands about 161 meters (528 feet) high. This skyscraper is located at 1 Post Street, right in the city's busy Financial District. It is the main office for a company called McKesson Corporation.
Building Design and Features
The McKesson Plaza was finished in 1969. It was designed by a famous architect named Welton Becket. He liked to use repeating shapes and natural stone on the outside of his buildings.
The area around the building was designed by SWA Group. They created a special space with an octagonal (eight-sided) opening. This opening leads to a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station, which is a train system. The area also has trees, shops, and granite steps where people can sit.
McKesson Plaza in TV Shows
The McKesson Plaza building has even appeared on TV! It is shown in the soap opera The Young and the Restless. In the show, the building is called "Lakeview Towers."
Many characters on the show have lived in the fancy penthouse apartments there. You can see the outside of the building in scenes that show where characters live. The building's real name signs are blurred out for the show.
