McLean (born Anthony McLean, 24 June 1980) is an English singer. He comes from Dagenham, in east London. He first signed with Asylum Records and then Atlantic Records. His first song, "Broken," came out on 26 October 2009. This song was first released on its own in 2007. It became very popular online, getting over 20 million views on sites like YouTube.

Early Life and Music Career
McLean was born in 1980 in East London. He grew up in Dagenham, which is in Essex. His father, John McLean, was a famous lovers rock musician. McLean is also the brother of professional footballer Aaron McLean.
Before he became widely known, McLean used the name "Digga." He worked with other artists like MJ Cole on a song called "Gotta Have It." He also teamed up with the drum and bass group Chase & Status for their song "Take U There." This song was part of their first album, More Than Alot. His song "Broken" was a big hit in the underground music scene. This success helped him get signed by the major record company, Atlantic.
Working on a Debut Album
McLean started working on his first official album. He collaborated with many well-known music producers. Some of these included Fraser T Smith and Naughty Boy. They planned to include songs like "My Name" and "Great Escape." Other songs were "Try Me," "Finally in Love," and "Broken." However, this album was never officially released to the public.
In 2013, McLean released a free album. It was called Digga’s House and was available on SoundCloud. Later, in 2019, there were talks that McLean might release a new collection of songs called an EP. Many fans were excited about this possible new music.
Family Life
McLean has strong family connections in music and sports. He is the nephew of Bitty McLean, a singer popular in the 1990s. As mentioned, he is also the older brother of Aaron McLean, who is a professional footballer.
McLean has two daughters from a previous relationship. He currently lives in Essex with his partner.
