McNabb is a small village located in Putnam County, Illinois, in the United States. In 2020, about 275 people lived there. It is part of the larger Ottawa area.
Near McNabb, you can find the Clear Creek Meeting House. This is one of the few old Quaker meeting houses still standing in the western part of the country. Important people who worked to end slavery, like Benjamin Lundy, used to meet there.
The village of McNabb got its name around 1900. A railroad company wanted to build a station in Magnolia township. Judge J. M. McNabb helped make this happen, so the new station and town were named after him. Today, two railroads, the Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa Railroad and the Toluca, Marquette & Northern Railroad, run through the town.
