Meagan Yvonne Tandy, born on May 3, 1985, is an American actress and model. She was once Miss California USA and placed third in the Miss USA 2007 competition. As an actress, she has had important roles in TV shows like Jane by Design, Teen Wolf, and Survivor's Remorse. She also starred as Sophie Moore in The CW's Batwoman.

Early Life and Pageant Journey

Meagan Tandy was born in Fremont, California and grew up in Fontana. She went to Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga. Later, she studied at Chaffey College. She was the first student from Chaffey College to win the Miss California USA title.

Tandy studied business and film production at Chaffey College. She learned how to create and edit commercials and short films. After two years, she earned associate degrees. She then attended Cal Poly Pomona to study business management and marketing.

Tandy won the Miss California USA title on October 15, 2006. This was her second time trying for the title. The year before, she had placed fourth. She also won the Best Swimsuit Award in the 2007 Miss California USA pageant.

Tandy then competed in the Miss USA 2007 pageant. She finished as the 3rd runner-up. Her beautiful evening gown was designed by Nick Verreos. He was a participant on Project Runway. Meagan Tandy was only the fourth African-American woman to become Miss California USA.

Entertainment Career

Meagan Tandy is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. This is a union for actors. She has appeared in many TV commercials for big companies. These include Wendy's and Boost Mobile. She was also in a Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi Max.

Tandy had a small role in the 2010 movie Unstoppable. She played Maya Barnes, the daughter of the main character. She also worked as an online reporter for E! News for a short time.

In May 2012, Tandy started her own program for teenagers called "GIRL TALK." She worked with the Women On The Move Network in Rancho Cucamonga. The first "GIRL TALK" event was held in July 2013.

Tandy lives in Los Angeles and continues her acting career. She played Lulu Pope in the ABC Family show Jane By Design. She also appeared in the movie Piranha 3DD. In June 2013, she joined the MTV show Teen Wolf. She played the popular character Braeden for three seasons.

In 2014, she played Sabrina in the show Red Band Society. From 2015 to 2017, she was Allison Pierce in the sitcom Survivor's Remorse. In 2016, Tandy played Chantal in the second season of UnREAL. From 2019 to 2022, she was a main character on The CW's Batwoman, playing Sophie Moore.

Meagan Tandy met actor Branden Wellington in 2018. He is known from the TV show Sistas. They announced their engagement on January 11, 2024. They got married on September 5, 2024.
