The Hidden Alcove and Stream
- Another cool spot is a deep alcove. An alcove is like a big, hollowed-out cave in the side of a cliff. This one is about 100 feet deep.
- A stream flows through this alcove all year long. This stream has slowly carved out the soft sandstone over many, many years.
- Inside the alcove, you'll see a large pile of rocks. These rocks have fallen from the ceiling over time, creating a unique landscape for the stream to flow around.
