Mel Bennett played for teams in both the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and played basketball in high school and college there.
Today, he works as an aide at Ocean City Intermediate School in Ocean City, New Jersey. He's known for giving students snacks as prizes for answering his trivia questions. In 2015, students even voted for him to dress up as a turkey for Thanksgiving!
