Memphis, also known as Old Memphis, is a small town in Pickens County, Alabama, United States. In 2020, its population was 29 people.

Memphis was first listed as an official community in the U.S. Census way back in 1850. However, it then disappeared from the records for many years. It became an official town again in 1976.

In the early 1980s, Memphis was noted for being a very small town with limited money. The mayor at the time, Jimmy Williams, shared that the town received only a small amount of money each year from state taxes and federal funds. People hoped that a big project called the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway would help the town's economy improve.
