Mercy Aigbe (born on January 1, 1978) is a talented Nigerian actress, director, and businesswoman. She is very well-known for her roles in movies made in the Yoruba language. She is also a fashionista, meaning she has a great sense of style.

Early Life and Education

Mercy Aigbe was born in Edo State, Nigeria. Her parents are Pa Aigbe and Mrs. Abisola Grace Owodunni. She grew up in Benin City, which is the capital of Edo State. Mercy is the second of five children in her family.

She went to St. Francis Primary School for her early education. Later, she attended Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School in Ikeja, Lagos State. Mercy also studied at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, in Oyo State. There, she earned her OND in Financial Studies. In 2001, Mercy Aigbe completed her university studies. She graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in Theater Arts.

Mercy Aigbe's Acting Career

Mercy Aigbe began her acting journey in popular TV shows. One of these was the well-known drama series "Papa Ajasco." She officially joined the Nollywood film industry in 2006. Her big break came with the movie 'Ara'. This film was produced by Remi Olupo in Ibadan, Oyo State. In 2016, Mercy also started her own acting school. It is called "Mercy Aigbe Gentry School of Drama."

Mercy Aigbe has worked with many brands. In November 2014, she became the face of Elephant Gold Rice. She also signed a one-year deal with Prestige Cosmetic in June 2015. In July 2016, Mercy partnered with Edalaf Brother Limited, an IT company. She became an ambassador for "Shape you" in October 2016. This company makes Slimming Coffee. In March 2017, she represented BK hair. By September 2018, she was the brand ambassador for "Naija Taxi Services." This company helps people with transportation. Personal Life

Mercy Aigbe has two children. In 2022, she married Kazim Adeoti, who is also known as Adekaz. In 2023, Mercy became a Muslim and changed her name to Hajiya Meena.
