Meri von KleinSmid (born in 1974) is an American musician, artist, and composer. She creates different kinds of music and art.

About Her Life

Meri von KleinSmid was born in Los Angeles, California. When she was a child, she learned to play many instruments like the piano, violin, and flute. She also studied choral music, which is music for choirs.

She went to college at the University of Washington and Columbia College Chicago. There, she learned about the history of music and ethnomusicology. Ethnomusicology is the study of music from different cultures around the world.

For a while, Meri lived in Cambridge, England. Later, she moved to the Seattle and Vancouver areas in North America. She has been part of different music groups, like SoniCabal, which is an experimental music group, and the Chinese Music Society of North America.

One of her works was included on a CD called 60X60. This CD won an award at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
