Michèle Reverdy (born on December 12, 1943) is a talented French composer. Composers are people who write music. She has created many different kinds of musical pieces.

Her Life and Musical Journey

Michèle Reverdy was born in Alexandria, Egypt. She went to the famous Conservatoire de Paris to study music. There, she learned about music analysis with Claude Ballif. She also studied music composition with the well-known composer Olivier Messiaen.

After finishing her studies, Michèle Reverdy started teaching. In 1983, she became a teacher at the same school where she had studied. She taught music analysis and orchestration. Orchestration is about arranging music for an orchestra. She later retired as a Professor Emeritus.

Michèle Reverdy also spent time in Madrid, Spain, from 1979 to 1981. She was a resident at the Casa de Velázquez. In 1993, she was a special composer at the Musica Festival in Strasbourg. From 1978 to 1992, she worked as a producer at Radio France. In 1995, she received a special award for her lifetime achievements. This award came from SACEM, a group for authors, composers, and music publishers. She has also written two books about her teacher, Olivier Messiaen.
