Michael Ammermüller (born on February 14, 1986) is a professional racing driver from Germany. He started his career in different junior racing series. Later, he became a test and reserve driver for the Red Bull Racing Formula One team in 2007.
After his time in Formula One, he raced for Germany in the A1 Grand Prix series. This was during the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons. He then spent two seasons competing in the ADAC GT Masters. In 2012, Michael joined the Porsche Supercup series with Walter Lechner Racing. He achieved great success there, winning three championships in a row: in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Early Racing Career
Michael Ammermüller began his racing journey in 2004. He drove in the German Formula Renault series. He also competed in the Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup that same year.
In 2006, he joined the GP2 Series with the Arden International team. This series is known for being a stepping stone to Formula One.
Becoming a Formula One Driver
Michael was part of the Red Bull Junior Team. This team helps young drivers get into Formula One. When a spot opened up at the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, Michael was chosen. He became the third driver for the last three races of the 2006 season.
He tested the Formula One car for the first time on September 14, 2006. This test helped him get the special license needed to drive in Formula One. After being the third driver, Red Bull signed him as a full-time test driver for the 2007 season.
Michael's 2007 GP2 Series season was cut short due to an injury. Another driver, Sébastien Buemi, took his place for a while. However, when Sebastian Vettel moved to another Formula One team, Michael took over his seat in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series. In 2008, he raced in the International Formula Master series.
A1 Grand Prix Series
From 2007 to 2008, Michael Ammermüller represented Germany in the A1 Grand Prix series. This series was like a "World Cup of Motorsport," where drivers raced for their home countries.
During a race in Malaysia in 2007–08, Michael had a few incidents with other cars. He was later disqualified from the main race. Despite this, he showed his skill by winning his first race just three weeks later in Zhuhai, China.
