He is famous for writing the scripts for exciting films like Cliffhanger and the James Bond movie GoldenEye. He also wrote for popular comic book movies such as Hulk, The Punisher, and Fantastic Four.
Early Life and Education
Michael France was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. When he was a kid, he really loved comics and movies. This passion likely inspired him to become a writer later on.
He went to the University of Florida in the early 1980s. While studying there, he worked at a small movie theater in Gainesville. He was a projectionist, which meant he operated the movie projectors. He also helped choose which movies the theater would show. After that, he earned a special degree from the film school at Columbia University in New York City.
Career Highlights
After finishing his studies, Michael France moved to Los Angeles, California. This is where he sold his first movie script, which became the film Cliffhanger.
He went on to write many other well-known movies. These include the James Bond film GoldenEye, and several movies based on comic books like Hulk, The Punisher, and Fantastic Four.
