Becoming a Director
Michael Uppendahl started his career in television. His first directing jobs were for the TV show Becker in 2003 and 2004. He directed four episodes of this show.
In 2009, he also wrote, directed, and produced a short film. It was called A Hundred & Forty-Six Questions.
Directing Popular Series
Since 2008, Uppendahl has directed seven episodes of the drama series Mad Men. This show is set in the past and is very well-known.
