Michelle Chia Yun Yi, born on September 19, 1975, is a well-known TV host, actress, and businesswoman from Singapore. She used to work full-time for Mediacorp, a big media company, from 1980 to 2012. Even now, she still acts in shows sometimes.

Early Life and Career Journey
Michelle Chia went to Raffles Girls' Primary School and Bowen Secondary School when she was younger.
She started her acting career as a child with the SBC. After finishing school, she joined the TCS, which later became MediaCorp. In 2000, she moved to SPH MediaWorks. However, she returned to MediaCorp when it took over MediaWorks. In May 2012, Michelle decided to take a break from the entertainment world. Her contract with MediaCorp ended, and she chose not to renew it.
Michelle's Business Ventures
In 2018, Michelle shared in an interview with 8 Days that she had invested in different businesses while she was still acting full-time. She was a partner in a hair salon called Monsoon Hair Salon. She also owned her own investment company. This shows she is not just an actress but also a smart businesswoman!
Personal Life Story
In May 2009, Michelle Chia married Shaun Chen. They had been dating for six years before getting married. However, on April 28, 2011, they announced they were getting a divorce because of "personality differences." Their divorce was officially completed in October 2011.
