History of Middlebranch
The community of Middlebranch has a long history. A post office was first set up here in 1844. At that time, it was called "Middle Branch." The name was officially changed to "Middlebranch" in 1893.
The name "Middlebranch" comes from a nearby stream. This stream is called the Middle Branch Nimishillen Creek. It flows through the area.
Middlebranch School
Middlebranch is home to an elementary school. This school is part of the Plain Local School District. It has served the community for many years.
The school building has changed its role over time. From 1926 to 1957, it was the first high school for the district. After that, it became a middle school. Then, starting in the 2006-07 school year, it became an elementary school.
