Michael Edward Green (born June 23, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a point guard or shooting guard. Mike Green is known for his successful career playing for many teams in Europe.

High School Years

Mike Green played high school basketball at Franklin Learning Center. This school is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

College Basketball Career

Green played college basketball for Butler University. He was a student athlete there from 2006 to 2008. During the 2007–2008 season, he was named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Year. He led Butler in points, rebounds, and assists during his senior year.

Professional Basketball Journey

After college, Mike Green was not chosen in the 2008 NBA draft. However, he still played for NBA teams in summer leagues. He played with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2010. Later, he joined the Portland Trail Blazers for the NBA Summer League.

Green then began his professional career playing for teams in Europe. He played for Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi in Turkey. He also played for Liege in Belgium and Cantù in Italy.

In 2011, he signed with Sigma Barcellona in Italy's Second Division. The next year, in July 2012, he joined Cimberio Varese.

In July 2013, Green signed a two-year contract with the Russian team BC Khimki. He left Khimki in June 2014. After that, he signed with Paris-Levallois in France in July 2014.

On June 29, 2015, he joined Reyer Venezia Mestre in Italy for the 2015–16 season.

In July 2016, Green signed with the Turkish club Best Balıkesir. He later moved to Pınar Karşıyaka in December 2016. While playing for Karşıyaka, he was named the Round of 16 MVP in the Basketball Champions League.

On August 2, 2017, he signed with AEK Athens in Greece. With AEK, he won the Greek Basketball Cup in 2018. On May 6, 2018, Green also helped AEK win the FIBA Champions League title. He was named the Basketball Champions League Final Four MVP after scoring 19 points in the final game.

Mike Green continued his career playing for SIG Strasbourg in France from 2018 to 2019. His last professional team was Igokea in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he played from 2019 to 2020.
