Michael Darrow Greenberg (born August 6, 1967) is a well-known American television and radio host. He works for ESPN and ABC. Many people know him as "Greeny."

He used to host the popular Mike & Mike radio show with Mike Golic on ESPN Radio. He also hosted SportsCenter on ESPN. On ABC, he hosted the game show Duel. Since 2018, he has been the host of ESPN's morning show Get Up!. He also helps cover NBA games on NBA Countdown and NFL games on Sunday NFL Countdown. As of 2024, he hosts his own radio show called #Greeny.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Mike Greenberg was born in New York City, New York. He went to Stuyvesant High School and graduated in 1985. In 1989, he finished his studies at Northwestern University.

After college, Mike started his career in Chicago. He worked as a sports reporter and anchor at WMAQ-AM. In 1992, he moved to WSCR-Radio. There, he covered big events like the World Series and the Super Bowl. He also hosted talk shows. From 1993 to 1995, he wrote a weekly newspaper column. In 1994, he also reported for SportsChannel Chicago. He joined CLTV in 1995 as an anchor and host. In September 1996, he joined ESPN. In 1999, Mike Greenberg was asked to return to radio. He teamed up with Mike Golic to host a morning show on ESPN Radio. He agreed, but he also kept anchoring SportsCenter. Their radio show, Mike & Mike, became very popular. In 2004, the show started being shown on TV on ESPNEWS. By 2005, it moved to ESPN2 because of its success.

One fun part of Mike & Mike was the "Sheet of Integrity" wager. This was a bet based on the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Mike Golic would enter many prediction sheets. Greenberg believed in picking only one sheet with "integrity." The loser of the bet had to do something funny on the air.

For example, one year Greenberg won, and Golic had to get his eyebrow waxed on TV. Another time, Golic won, and Greenberg had to wear the University of Notre Dame Leprechaun mascot costume. In 2007, Greenberg, a big New York Jets fan, agreed to wear a New England Patriots jersey to a Jets game. He also had to milk a cow live on the show!

Mike Greenberg's last day as co-host of Mike & Mike was November 17, 2017. Both Greenberg and Golic were honored for their radio work. They were inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters’ Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2016. In 2018, they joined the National Radio Hall of Fame. After Mike & Mike ended, Greenberg started a new ESPN morning show called Get Up! on April 2, 2018. He also returned to ESPN Radio with his new show, "Greeny."

Other TV Appearances

Mike Greenberg also hosted the ABC game show Duel. The first season aired in December 2007. The show was popular and came back for a second season in April 2008.
