Early Life and Music Beginnings

Mike Kalambay grew up in Kinshasa. His parents are Joseph Kabamuanishi and Monique Ngola. He spent his early years in Mbuji-Mayi with his grandmother. When he was nine, he moved back to Kinshasa. Mike has four siblings from his parents. He also has many half-siblings.

Mike started singing at a young age. He was part of a youth choir in his church. This is where his musical journey began. He was discovered after singing in a competition. Charles Mombaya hosted this competition.

Mike Kalambay's Music Career

In 1994, Mike was baptized at the Cité Béthel Church. He was 16 years old at the time. He began his music career in a church choir. The choir was called "Les étoiles de Louange." This means "The stars of Praise." There, he met other future gospel singers. These included Moise Mbiye and Sandra Mbuyi.

Three years later, in 2012, "Dans Ta Présence - Vol. 2" came out. It included songs like "Mal a L'aise."

In 2014, Mike started his own company. He named it MK Productions. With this new company, he released a new album. It was called "Je suis une Étoile." In 2017, Mike hosted a special concert.
