Starting Out in the Kitchen

After finishing his studies at the University of Portsmouth, Mike moved to London. This is where he began his journey to become a chef. He started as an apprentice at a place called The In & Out club. Later, he worked in the kitchens of the Royal Air Force Club. Mike learned from some of the best chefs in the world. He worked at famous restaurants like Le Gavroche and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. There, he was taught by amazing chefs such as Michel Roux Jr, Simone Zanoni, and Gordon Ramsay.

In 2007, Mike joined the team at Gaucho restaurants. He quickly moved up and became a head chef. This means he was in charge of the kitchen. He managed two locations, Richmond and The O2. Soon, he was promoted to lead all the Gaucho restaurants.

Cooking Down Under: Australia Adventures

In 2013, Mike left London and moved to Melbourne, Australia. He worked at a top restaurant called Attica. There, he cooked alongside the famous chef Ben Shewry. He also worked at Andrew McConnell’s Cutler and Co. In 2014, Mike helped another celebrity chef, Shannon Bennett, open a restaurant called Jardin Tan.
