Michael LaDon Wilson (born June 29, 1983) is an American who used to play professional baseball. He was an outfielder, which is a player who fields in the outer part of the baseball field. His last team was the Winnipeg Goldeyes in 2015. He also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners in 2011.

Mike Wilson's Early Life and Baseball Start
Mike Wilson went to Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was very good at sports! He even got an offer to play college football for the Oklahoma Sooners.
But Mike chose baseball. The Seattle Mariners picked him in the second round of the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft. This meant they wanted him to join their team.

Mike Wilson spent many years playing baseball. He played for several teams during his career.
Playing for the Seattle Mariners
Mike spent ten seasons in the Mariners' minor league system. This is like a training ground for young players. He even thought about playing football again or going to Japan to play baseball.
In 2009, Mike hit eight home runs during spring training games. This was a record for the Mariners at the time!
On May 9, 2011, the Mariners called Mike up to play in the big leagues. This was his chance to play in Major League Baseball. He played in eight games for the Mariners. Later that year, he was sent back to the minor leagues. In October 2012, Mike became a free agent, meaning he could sign with any team.
Time with the New York Mets
In early 2013, Mike signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets. However, the Mets released him a few months later in March 2013.
Playing for the San Diego Padres
Mike signed with the San Diego Padres on May 18, 2013. He played for their Triple-A team, the Tucson Padres. Triple-A is the highest level of minor league baseball.
Time with the Cincinnati Reds
On November 6, 2013, Mike signed a minor league deal with the Cincinnati Reds. He played for their Triple-A team, the Louisville Bats. He was released by the Reds in May 2014.
Playing for the Winnipeg Goldeyes
In 2015, Mike Wilson signed with the Winnipeg Goldeyes. This team is part of an independent baseball league. Independent leagues are not connected to Major League Baseball teams.
