Mikele "Miki" Ronisse Barber was born on October 4, 1980. She is an amazing American sprinter. A sprinter is a runner who specializes in short, fast races. Mikele has won many important medals in her career.

She earned a gold medal in the 4 × 100 meters relay race at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics. This big event took place in Osaka, Japan. She also won an individual gold medal in the 100 meters race at the 2007 Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Mikele has a twin sister named Me'Lisa Barber. Me'Lisa is also a talented runner. Both sisters have won relay medals in major world competitions.
