Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Mikey Williams was not chosen in the 2014 NBA draft. But he still went on to play professional basketball.
Early Professional Teams
From 2014 to 2016, Williams played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. This team is part of the NBA G League. He then played for the Canton Charge from 2016 to 2017.
He also played in the ASEAN Basketball League for the Saigon Heat. This was from 2017 to 2018. After that, he joined the GenSan Warriors in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. He played there from 2018 to 2019. During that time, he averaged about 16 points and 6 assists per game.
Playing for TNT Tropang Giga (2021–2023)
Mikey Williams joined the PBA in 2021. He played for the TNT Tropang Giga team. In the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup finals, he set a PBA finals record. He made 10 three-pointers in one game.
Williams signed a new three-year contract with TNT. However, he stopped playing for the team after the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup. In November 2023, TNT ended his contract. But TNT still holds his player rights. This means he cannot join another PBA team unless TNT lets him go.
On June 2, 2025, the Converge FiberXers team got Williams' player rights. They traded Jordan Heading to TNT for these rights.
