Even though Zemun was relegated from the top league that season, Mitrović continued to play for them. He spent a total of four seasons with the club, gaining valuable experience.
Moving to Rad and Mersin İdmanyurdu
In the summer of 2010, Mitrović moved to another Serbian club, Rad. His first official match for Rad was an away game against Partizan, which they lost 0–3. He continued to develop his skills at Rad.

After playing for Partizan, Mitrović continued his career with other clubs. From 2018 to 2020, he played for Adana Demirspor in Turkey. Later, from 2021 to 2022, he moved to Estonia to play for Levadia. Since 2023, he has been playing for Radnički 1923 back in Serbia.
