Miles Jaye Davis, born on November 12, 1957, is a talented American musician. He is known as Miles Jaye in the music world. He is a singer, jazz violinist, songwriter, and music producer. Miles Jaye had many popular songs on the US R&B chart in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His biggest hit was "Let's Start Love Over" in 1987. For a while, he was also the lead singer for the famous group Village People.

Miles Jaye's Music Journey
Miles Jaye was born in Yonkers, New York. He loved music from a young age. He studied music theory and classical violin for over ten years. He went to places like the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
While in the US Air Force, he also learned to play the flute, keyboards, and bass. He started his singing career when he was stationed in the Philippines.
Early Career and Joining Village People
Miles Jaye toured Europe with famous musicians. He performed with jazz guitarist Eric Gale and singers Phyllis Hyman and Jon Lucien.
In 1982, he joined the Village People. He took on the role of the "Cop" character. He sang with the band for two years.
Solo Career and Hit Songs
After leaving Village People, Miles Jaye started his solo career. He signed with Top Priority Records, a company owned by Teddy Pendergrass.
In 1987, he released his first album, Miles, with Island Records. The song "Let's Start Love Over" became a big hit. It reached number 5 on the Billboard R&B chart. His next song, "I've Been a Fool for You," also became a top ten R&B hit.
Miles Jaye also helped Teddy Pendergrass with his 1988 album, Joy. He played instruments, wrote songs, and helped produce the album.
Later Albums and Jazz Music
Miles Jaye released two more albums with Island Records: Irresistible (1989) and Strong (1991). He continued to have popular songs on the R&B chart, like "Heaven" and "Objective."
Later, he started his own music company called Black Tree Records. Through his own label, he released many albums that had more jazz influences. He has also worked with other well-known jazz musicians. These include George Duke, Roy Ayers, Grover Washington, Jr., and Branford Marsalis.
