How to Play Millionaire Hot Seat
This exciting game show features six players who compete to win a grand prize of $1,000,000! It's all about answering questions correctly under pressure.
Questions and Time Limits
In Millionaire Hot Seat, players are asked multiple-choice questions. Each question has four possible answers, and only one is correct. But there's a catch: you have to answer quickly!
- For the first five questions, you get 15 seconds to answer.
- For the next five questions, the time limit increases to 30 seconds.
- For the final five questions, you have 45 seconds to decide your answer.
Using Your "Pass" Lifeline
Each player gets one special "pass" during the game. This means if you get a question you don't know, you can choose to "pass" it.
- If you use your pass, the question moves to the next player in line.
- The player who receives a passed question cannot use their own pass on that same question. They must try to answer it.
What Happens If You Get It Wrong?
The game can be tough! If a player answers a question incorrectly, or if they don't give an answer before the time runs out, they are removed from the game.
- Players who are removed from the game go home with nothing.
- Also, when a player is removed, the top prize amount for the remaining players gets a little bit lower.
- If a player runs out of time and cannot use their pass (because they already used it or it was a passed question), they are also removed from the game.
Winning a Bonus and Ending the Game
There's a special bonus for players who start strong!
- If the very first player answers their first five questions correctly, they win a $1,000 bonus prize!
The game continues until one of two things happens:
- All six players have been removed from the game.
- The very last question is answered.
If a player answers the final question correctly, they win the amount of money that question was worth! However, if they answer it incorrectly, they go home with nothing. The only exception is if they correctly answered the 5th question; in that case, they leave with $1,000.
