Millsite State Park is a fun state park located in Emery County, Utah, United States. It sits right on the south end of the Millsite Reservoir, near the town of Ferron. It's a great spot for outdoor adventures!

What Can You Do at Millsite State Park?

This park is a fantastic place for many activities. You can explore the area on off-highway vehicles (OHVs) or mountain bikes. There are special trails just for these exciting rides.

The Millsite Reservoir is perfect for water fun. You can go swimming, boating, or even waterskiing. If you love to fish, the reservoir is also open for that. Right next to the park, there's an 18-hole golf course where you can practice your swing.

The Story Behind Millsite Reservoir

The Millsite Reservoir is part of a bigger plan called the Ferron Watershed Project. This project was finished in 1970. It was designed to collect and store water for many different uses.

Before the current dam was built, there was an older dam in the same spot. This old dam helped power a flourmill nearby. That's how the reservoir got its name, "Millsite"! It's a cool reminder of the area's history.
