The Story Behind Millsite Reservoir
The Millsite Reservoir is part of a bigger plan called the Ferron Watershed Project. This project was finished in 1970. It was designed to collect and store water for many different uses.
Before the current dam was built, there was an older dam in the same spot. This old dam helped power a flourmill nearby. That's how the reservoir got its name, "Millsite"! It's a cool reminder of the area's history.
