Millville is a small place in Clayton County, Iowa, United States. It used to be a city but is now an unincorporated town. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city does. In 2010, 30 people lived there. This was a small increase from 23 people in 2000.
Millville's Past
Millville has a short but interesting history. In 1940, only 26 people lived in the area. It officially became a city in 1967. This meant it had its own local government.
However, the number of people living in Millville started to decrease. Because of this, the city decided to become "unincorporated" again. This process started in October 2013 and finished in July 2014. Now, it's no longer a city with its own government.
Millville is also known for a strange event called the Millville Poltergeist. This happened in 1960 in a nearby area called Guttenberg.
