Millville is located in the state of Missouri, in a part called Ray County. You can find it along Missouri Route K. It's about 8.5 miles (which is about 13.7 kilometers) northeast of a town called Richmond. A branch of the Crooked River, called the East Fork, flows right by the west side of Millville, adding to its rural feel.
History of Millville
Millville has a history that goes back many years. The community was officially mapped out and planned in 1873. It got its name from a watermill that was located nearby when the town was first being set up.
Before the town was even planned, a post office was opened in Millville in 1849. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years, staying open until 1906.
