Education and Early Career
Miquel Crusafont studied at the University of Barcelona. In 1933, he earned a degree in Pharmacy. Later, in 1950, he got another degree. This one was in Natural Sciences from the University of Madrid.
Becoming a Professor
Crusafont became a university professor in 1961. He was appointed Professor of Palaeontology at the University of Oviedo. Later, he also taught Anthropology in Barcelona.
Founding an Institute
In 1969, Crusafont started a special place for studying fossils. It was called the Provincial Palaeontology Institute. After he passed away in 1983, the institute was renamed. Today, it is known as the Miquel Crusafont Palaeontology Institute. This shows how important his work was.
