Miriam Meckel (born 18 July 1967) is a German journalist and professor. She teaches about how companies communicate. She is also an editor and publisher for a German business magazine called Wirtschaftswoche. She leads the Institute for Media and Communication Management at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

In 2020, Miriam Meckel helped start a company called ada Learning GmbH. She was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and later became the Executive Chairwoman. This company helps people learn new skills.

In November 2014, Meckel became the editor-in-chief of Wirtschaftswoche. This was a big deal because she was the first woman to hold this important job. In April 2017, she became the publisher of the magazine. This means she was in charge of the business side of the magazine.

From 2001 to 2005, Miriam Meckel worked for the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. She was a State Secretary, which is a high-ranking government official. She also spoke for the government. Later, she worked on topics related to Europe, international affairs, and media. Before that, from 1999 to 2001, she was a professor at the University of Münster in Germany. She has written books about media, communication, and how politics works in the digital age. She also wrote a book in 2010 about her experiences with stress and exhaustion. This book was later made into a TV movie in 2016.

Miriam Meckel was also part of an international group that helped create an award for the World Bank. This award was for projects that helped with development.

Miriam Meckel lives in both Germany and Switzerland. She was married to Anne Will, a German television journalist, from 2016 to 2019.
