Miroslav "Miro" Mentel, born on December 2, 1962, in Šurany, is a famous Slovak football player who used to be a goalkeeper. Today, he helps train other goalkeepers for the Slovakia national football team and also for the FK Senica club.

Mentel played as a goalkeeper for several football clubs during his career. He played for teams like FK Inter Bratislava, Dukla Banská Bystrica, and DAC Dunajská Streda in the top league of Czechoslovakia. After Czechoslovakia split, he also played for FC Kaučuk Opava in the Czech league.

Early Years in Czechoslovakia

Miro Mentel began his professional journey with FK Inter Bratislava. He played there from 1980 to 1983. After that, he joined Dukla Banská Bystrica for two seasons. He then returned to FK Inter Bratislava and played there until 1989.

Playing in Japan

In the 1990s, Mentel had an exciting experience playing football in Japan. He joined the Urawa Reds team in 1993. He played as a goalkeeper for them in the J1 League.
