Miroslav Raduljica (born on January 5, 1988) is a professional basketball player from Serbia. He is known for playing as a center, which means he plays close to the basket. Miroslav's Basketball Journey
Starting in Serbia
Miroslav Raduljica began his basketball career in Serbia. He played for the junior teams of KK FMP. He started playing professionally with FMP during the 2005–06 season. For a short time in 2006–07, he played for KK Borac Čačak on loan. Then he returned to FMP.
Playing in Europe
In 2010, Raduljica signed a five-year contract with a Turkish team, Efes Pilsen. He was then loaned to Alba Berlin in Germany. With Alba Berlin, his team made it to the finals of the German Bundesliga league. In 2011, he was loaned to Partizan in Serbia for one season. The next year, in 2012, he played for the Ukrainian team Azovmash.
Time in the NBA
On July 26, 2013, Miroslav Raduljica joined the Milwaukee Bucks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This is the top basketball league in the United States. In his first season, he played in 48 games. He averaged about 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
In August 2014, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, he was waived by the Clippers just a few days later.
Playing in China and Back to the NBA
After leaving the NBA, Raduljica signed with the Shandong Lions in China. He played 14 games there, averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds.
In January 2015, he got another chance in the NBA. He signed a 10-day contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played in five games for them before being waived later that month.
Return to Europe and Asia
After his time in the NBA, Raduljica went back to Europe. In July 2015, he signed with the Greek team Panathinaikos. He had a great game in December 2015, scoring 25 points against Barcelona. He left the team after one season.
In 2016, he signed with the Italian team EA7 Emporio Armani Milano. He played there for one season.
From 2017 to 2021, Raduljica played for different teams in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played for the Jiangsu Dragons and then the Zhejiang Lions. He had strong performances in China, often scoring many points and grabbing rebounds. For example, in the 2019–20 season, he averaged 25.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
In July 2021, he moved to South Korea to play for the Goyang Orions. He played there until December 2021.
He then returned to Serbia and played for KK Crvena zvezda during the 2022–23 season.
Most recently, in September 2023, Raduljica signed with Maroussi in the Greek Basketball League. He played with them until February 2025.
Playing for Serbia
Miroslav Raduljica has been a very important player for the Serbian national basketball teams.
Youth National Teams
He won several gold medals with Serbia's junior teams:
- 2005 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship
- 2007 FIBA Under-19 World Championship
- 2008 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship (where he was named the best player, or MVP!)
Senior National Team Success
Raduljica also played for the main senior team.
- He won a silver medal at the EuroBasket 2009 tournament.
- He was part of the team that won a silver medal at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. In that tournament, he averaged 13 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
- He also played in EuroBasket 2015. Serbia played very well, winning all their games in the first round. They made it to the semifinals but lost to Lithuania. They finished in fifth place. Raduljica was a key player, averaging 13.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
- At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Serbia won another silver medal. They lost to the United States in the final game.
- In the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, Serbia was expected to do very well. They finished in fifth place. Raduljica was the team's captain for this tournament.
