The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience (often called The MAX) is an art museum that opened on April 28, 2018. It is located in downtown Meridian, Mississippi, in the United States. This museum cost 50 million dollars to build. It shows off the amazing talents of Mississippi artists. It also celebrates the many people who have made a difference in arts and entertainment. The museum opened during Mississippi's 200th birthday celebration.
The main goal of The MAX is to teach people about famous artists and entertainers. It does this through fun, interactive exhibits. These exhibits use sight, sound, and touch to entertain and inform visitors. The MAX is a modern, two-level building with 58,500 square feet of space. Local architects from Meridian helped design the building.
