Mitsutoshi Watada (和多田 充寿, Watada Mitsutoshi, born 26 March 1976) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which is a player whose main job is to score goals.

Mitsutoshi Watada's Football Journey

Mitsutoshi Watada was born in Kobe, Japan, on March 26, 1976. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at the University of Tsukuba, he began his professional football career.

Starting with Vissel Kobe

In 1998, Watada joined his local team, Vissel Kobe. This was a big step for him. In his first season, he often played as a "substitute forward." This means he would come into the game later to replace another player. He quickly showed his skills.

Becoming a Regular Player

By 2000, Watada became a "regular player" for Vissel Kobe. This meant he was usually in the starting lineup for most games. He scored many goals for the team during this time.

Loan to JEF United Ichihara

In 2002, Watada went to play for JEF United Ichihara for a short time. This is called a "loan" in football. It means a player temporarily moves to another club. He played 12 games and scored 2 goals there.

Returning to Vissel Kobe

Watada returned to Vissel Kobe in 2003. He didn't play much in 2003, but he came back strong in 2004. He often came off the bench as a substitute and scored important goals for his team. He played for Vissel Kobe until 2005.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2006, Watada moved to Banditonce Kobe, a team in the Japanese Regional Leagues. He didn't play many games there. In 2007, he joined FC Gifu in the Japan Football League (JFL). He played well, and his team, FC Gifu, was promoted to the J2 League at the end of the 2007 season. This meant they moved up to a higher division.

In 2008, Watada played for FC Kariya, another JFL club. He played 11 games and scored 3 goals. At the end of the 2008 season, Mitsutoshi Watada decided to retire from professional football. Throughout his career, he played a total of 172 league games and scored 31 goals.
