Mohamed Saïd Fofana was an important political leader in the country of Guinea. He was born in 1952. From 2010 to 2015, he served as the Prime Minister of Guinea. A Prime Minister is like a chief minister or head of the government, working under the President.
Becoming Prime Minister
Mohamed Saïd Fofana was chosen for this big job by President Alpha Condé. This happened on December 24, 2010. Before becoming Prime Minister, Fofana worked in the government's commerce ministry. He was the director of economic research there. This means he studied how the country's money and trade worked.
Changes in Leadership
On January 16, 2014, Fofana and his government stepped down from their roles. This is called resigning. However, just three days later, President Condé asked him to return. So, Fofana was re-appointed as Prime Minister.
End of His Term
In October 2015, President Condé won another election. He started his second term as President. After this, Mohamed Saïd Fofana resigned again on December 23, 2015. A few days later, on December 26, President Condé chose a new Prime Minister. His name was Mamady Youla, and he took over Fofana's position.
