Muhammad Nadir Shah (born Muhammad Nadir Khan on 9 April 1883) was a very important leader in Afghanistan. He became the King of Afghanistan on 15 October 1929. He ruled the country until 8 November 1933.
Before becoming king, he had several important jobs. He was the Minister of War, which means he was in charge of the country's military. He also served as Afghanistan's Ambassador to France. This means he represented his country in France. He was also a high-ranking general in the Afghan army.
Muhammad Nadir Shah and his son, Muhammad Zahir Shah, who became king after him, were part of a powerful family group called the Musahiban.
