Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami (Odia: ମୋହନ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଦେବ ଗୋସ୍ୱାମୀ, born August 8, 1892 – died January 11, 1948) was a very important artist from Odisha, India. He was a talented musician, a poet, and a composer of songs. He was also a special teacher, known as a Guru, for a traditional type of play called Rahasa or Rasa. Besides all this, he was a film director for movies made in the Odia language.
Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami is famous for helping to keep Rahasa alive. This is a traditional play that tells stories about the love between Radha and Krishna. He was also well-known for singing classical Odissi music songs. These included different styles like Odissi, Chhanda, Champu, Kirtana, Bhajana, and Janana.
His songs were played on gramophone records by a company called His Master's Voice. They were also heard on All India Radio. This made him a very popular person in Odisha. He played a big part in making the first Odia film, Sita Bibaha, in 1936. He directed, produced, and even acted in this movie himself.
