The Mohawks of Kahnawà:ke are a group of Mohawk people who are a First Nation in Quebec, Canada. In 2016, they had about 10,946 registered members.

Their main home is the Kahnawà:ke 14 reserve. It's on the south side of the St. Lawrence River, across from Montreal. They also share another reserve, Doncaster 17, with the Mohawks of Kanesatake. This reserve is used for hunting and fishing. The community is led by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke.

The people of the Kahnawà:ke First Nation are part of the Mohawk people. In October 2016, there were 10,946 registered members. About 2,959 of these members lived outside the main reserve.

The Kahnawà:ke community mainly lives on the Kahnawà:ke 14 reserve. This reserve is about 8 kilometers (5 miles) southwest of Montreal, Quebec. It covers a large area of 4,825 hectares (about 11,923 acres).

The community also shares the Doncaster 17 reserve. This reserve is not lived on and is about 16 kilometers (10 miles) northeast of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. It is shared with the Mohawks of Kanesatake for hunting and fishing activities. The main office for the First Nation is in Kahnawà:ke.

How Kahnawà:ke is Governed

The Mohawks of Kahnawà:ke are governed by a group called the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke. Members of this council are chosen through elections every three years. They follow their own special election rules, which are based on Section 11 of the Indian Act.
