Monique Jones: A Bodybuilding Star
Starting Her Fitness Journey
Monique Jones began her fitness journey at just 16 years old. She bought her first gym membership and started working out. A trainer noticed her potential and suggested she try competitive sports. Monique decided to prepare for her first figure show.
Early Competitions in Figure
In 2001, Monique competed in the SNBF show in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She won first place overall in that event. Later, in 2007, judges at a national competition in Charleston, South Carolina suggested she switch to bodybuilding. Monique accepted this new challenge.

Becoming a Professional Bodybuilder
Amateur Bodybuilding Success
In 2008, Monique entered her first bodybuilding competition. This was the South Carolina State show in Columbia. She won the overall title in women's bodybuilding. At national events, she consistently placed high, often finishing 2nd or 3rd. In 2010, she won the IFBB North American Championships. This victory earned her an IFBB Pro card, allowing her to compete professionally.

Since 2011, Monique has been a strong presence in professional bodybuilding. She has qualified for every Ms. Olympia competition held since then. Ms. Olympia is one of the most prestigious events in women's bodybuilding.
