After high school, she briefly attended Duquesne University. She later left college to follow her dream of a music career. This led her to move to Washington, D.C..

Family Life

In 2012, Monique married Chris Samuels. Chris is a former professional football player. They had three children together. For a time, their family lived in Potomac, Maryland. Monique and Chris divorced on September 25, 2023.

Television Career

Monique Samuels first became a main cast member on the reality TV series The Real Housewives of Potomac. She joined the show in 2017 for its second season. She was a part of the show until its fifth season, leaving in 2020.

After leaving The Real Housewives of Potomac, Monique returned to reality television in 2022. She starred with her husband in a new series called Love & Marriage: DC. This show started in May 2022.
