Team History: The Mission's Journey

The Montréal Mission, often called "the Mission," began playing ringette in 2004. They are the most successful NRL team from Quebec. The team has a strong history in the league.

For example, they finished second in the Eastern Conference of the National Ringette League in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. In the 2008-09 season, the Mission even finished first in their conference. They were ahead of strong teams like the Cambridge Turbos from Ontario.

In 2006, a player named Anna Vanhatalo joined the team. She was an exchange student from Finland. She played for the Mission for one season. Later, a Mission goalkeeper, Claudia Jetté, went to play for Anna's team in Finland.
