Moor House is a large office building in London. It is located on London Wall, in an area called the City of London. This part of London is a very important financial district. Moor House is one of the biggest buildings there. It stands 84 meters (276 feet) tall. It has a huge amount of space inside, about 29,000 square meters (312,000 square feet).

Moor House was finished in 2004. It was special because it was the first building designed for Crossrail. Crossrail is a new railway line under London. The building has a special ventilation shaft. This shaft connects to the Crossrail station located underneath it. When it was built, Moor House had the deepest foundations in London. These foundations go down 57 meters (187 feet). They were made to be strong enough for more tunnels to be built below the building in the future. The building cost about £182 million to construct. It was designed by a famous architect named Sir Norman Foster. Many different companies rent office space in Moor House. These include CLSA, Unicredit, Peel Hunt, and TT International.

Building History

The land where Moor House stands used to have an older office building. This old building was built in the 1960s. In 1991, there was a plan to build a new, modern-looking building. This plan was made by Terry Farrell and Partners. They are the same architects who designed another building nearby called Alban Gate.

In April 1999, there was a disagreement about the building. People discussed whether it should be allowed to be built. In the end, the plans for Moor House were approved. Construction then began.
