Moore Township is a small area in Sanilac County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It's like a local government area. In 2020, about 1,110 people lived there.
The first person to settle here permanently was James Minard in 1860. A few years later, in 1864, Martin Moore arrived. He became the first leader, or "supervisor," when the township was officially set up in 1865.
