History of Mooresboro

Mooresboro was first settled a long time ago, in the 1780s. It officially became a town in 1885. The town was named after an early settler named Lem Moore.

Later, in 1943, the town's official status was changed. A building called the Henrietta-Caroleen High School is important to the town's history. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. This means it is a special place recognized for its historical value.
