Morris Gleitzman was born on January 9, 1953. He is a famous author from Australia who writes books for children and young adults. He was born in Britain but later moved to Australia.
Morris Gleitzman is well-known for his interesting stories. One of his famous books, Two Weeks with the Queen (1990), helped people talk about important and sometimes difficult family situations.
He has also worked with another Australian children's author, Paul Jennings. Together, they wrote several book series. Their Wicked! book series was even made into an animated TV show in 2000.
Besides writing novels, Morris Gleitzman has published collections of his newspaper articles. He used to write for a popular TV show called Norman Gunston Show in the 1970s. His Once series is very popular, and the latest book in it, Always, came out in 2021. He is also known for his fun Toad series of books.

Morris Gleitzman was born in a town called Sleaford, Lincolnshire, England. This was on January 9, 1953. He grew up with one brother and one sister. His dad, Phillip, worked as an auditor, and his mum, Pamela, worked for a company called Bates.
He went to Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School in Bexley, England. When Morris was 16, in 1969, his family moved to Sydney, Australia. In Australia, he had many different jobs. He worked as a paperboy and stacked shelves in a shop. He even dressed up as Santa Claus! He also worked with frozen chickens and helped design fashion. Later, he went to The University of Canberra to study.
