Moses M. Costa (born November 17, 1950 – died July 13, 2020) was an important leader in the Roman Catholic Church in Bangladesh. He served as the Archbishop of Chittagong until he passed away.

Early Life of Moses Costa
Moses Costa was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on November 17, 1950.
Becoming a Priest
He became a Catholic priest on February 5, 1981. He was part of a religious group called the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Serving as a Bishop and Archbishop
On July 5, 1996, Costa was chosen to be the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dinajpur. He officially became a bishop on September 6, 1996. Adriano Bernardini led the ceremony.
Later, on April 6, 2011, he was appointed Bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chittagong. He started his new role there on May 27, 2011.
On February 2, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chittagong. This was a very important leadership position.
Health and Passing Away
On June 13, 2020, Moses Costa went to the hospital. He had tested positive for COVID-19, but he later got better from that illness.
However, on July 9, 2020, he had a stroke. Two days later, he needed life support. Moses Costa passed away on July 13, 2020, because of problems from the stroke.
