Motaz Ali Hassan Hawsawi (born February 17, 1992) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer. He plays as a defender, which means he helps protect his team's goal. Motaz played for the Saudi Arabia national team from 2012 to 2018.
In May 2018, he was chosen to be part of Saudi Arabia's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. This is a very big football tournament where countries from all over the world compete.
Motaz Hawsawi's Football Journey
Motaz started his professional football career at Al-Ahli, a famous club in Saudi Arabia. Many people thought he was one of the best defenders ever to play for Al-Ahli. He played there for many years, from 2014 to 2022.
On January 11, 2022, he moved to Al-Taawoun. This was a free transfer, meaning no money was paid between the clubs for him. He played for Al-Taawoun for about a year.
Later, on September 12, 2023, Hawsawi joined Ohod. This club plays in the Saudi First Division League, which is another professional football league in Saudi Arabia. He signed a one-year deal with Ohod.
