Mott's is an American company famous for its apple products, especially apple juice and apple sauce.

The company started way back in 1842. It was founded by Samuel R. Mott in Bouckville, New York. He used to make apple cider and vinegar. Later, in 1914, his company joined with another one called W. B. Duffy Cider Company. They became known as Duffy-Mott. Today, Mott's is part of a bigger company called Keurig Dr Pepper.

The Story of Mott's

Mott's began its journey in 1842 with Samuel R. Mott. He was from Bouckville, New York, and he made cider and vinegar from apples. His products were so good that they were shown at big events like the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876. They were also at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893.

After some time, Samuel Mott sold the company to his sons, John and Frederick. The company's name changed to Genesee Fruit Company. Later, Frederick sold it to the W.B. Duffy Cider Company in 1900. These two companies then merged in 1914 to form Duffy-Mott.

In the 1970s, a company called American Tobacco Company bought Duffy-Mott. Then, in 1982, Cadbury Schweppes bought Duffy-Mott. Four years later, the company decided to shorten its name to just Mott’s Inc.

In 1991, Mott's started making apple sauces with different fruit flavors. These tasty sauces later became known as the Mott's Fruitsations brand. In 1999, Cadbury Schweppes bought the Hawaiian Punch brand. This meant Mott's started making and selling Hawaiian Punch drinks that could sit on a shelf without needing to be refrigerated.

Today, Mott's is still a separate part of Keurig Dr Pepper. This big company was recently separated from Cadbury Schweppes plc.
