Mount Doongul is a small but interesting mountain located in a state forest in Queensland, Australia. It's found north of the city of Maryborough. Even though it's not super tall, Mount Doongul is known for its fantastic views.

Location and How to Get There
Mount Doongul is located in the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland. It's easy to find if you're traveling from nearby towns. To reach Mount Doongul, you can take the main road that goes from Maryborough to Biggenden.
Once you are on this road, you will need to look for the turn-off to North Aramara. After you turn off, you will follow some unsealed roads. These roads lead you right to the mountain. It's a bit of an adventure to get there!
Incredible Views from the Top
One of the best things about Mount Doongul is the view from its summit. Even though it only stands at 231 meters (about 758 feet) tall, it offers wide-open views. From the top, you can see far across the landscape.
You might even be able to spot Fraser Island in the distance. Fraser Island is a famous sand island off the southern Queensland coast. Looking north, you can see all the way to the town of Childers. These views make the trip to Mount Doongul very worthwhile.
